You Can Make A Difference!

Congratulations on your upcoming or completed adoption. What a wonderful event! While we realize you have much to do and think about during this busy time, we would like you to take a moment and think of the children who are left behind in the orphanages.

FRUA runs an excellent humanitarian aid program called the grow bag program for the children in Russia. Supplies are collected by families connected to FRUA and sent to the orphanages with traveling families.

We ask for your help and support in several ways. First, we request that each traveling family take a grow bag full of donations to your orphanage. If you are a FRUA member and would like to take a grow bag when you travel, please contact Leanne Engle as soon as you accept your referral.

Second, we ask that you use your resources to raise the much-needed donations. FRUA has several suggested methods for raising donations and we are always looking for new ones! Please contact Leanne for information.

One of the benefits of FRUA membership is the availability of Russian translations of common over-the-counter medicines. Again, contact Leanne for details, or check the latest issue of Family Focus for a list. At many of our events, we will request specific supplies to fill our Grow Bag.
